Polaris Slingshot 4 Wheel Conversion Kit by DDMWorks!
The DDMWorks 4 wheel conversion kit for the Polaris Slingshot converts any model year 2015 and newer 3 wheel Slingshot into a 4 wheel vehicle offering you better rear traction, stability and more fun!
The conversion kit ships from us directly, completely assembled, powder coated in your choice of colors and ready to bolt onto your Slingshot with differential, control arms, brakes and shocks already installed. The pre-assembly saves you a lot of time and makes installation relatively straight forward requiring only minor trimming of the rear plastic by the battery. After the install, the grip provided by the extra tire and additional weight is immediately noticeable, giving you much better traction on the rear of the Slingshot, harder launches and more stability when going around turns. The shocks installed on the kit are a custom version of the same 3 way adjustable shocks that we offer for the 3 wheel Slingshots and have become a favorite of Slingshot owners. Several different differential options are available from the 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro with different gear ratios and open or limited slip options available to suit your ride to your exact needs.

We know that as a Polaris Slingshot owner you want your ride to stand out from the rest, so we offer several different options to help you customize your ride to look and perform how you want it.
The first option to decide is the differential ratio and if you want an open or limited slip differential. The stock Polaris Slingshot has a 3.67 final drive ratio, numbers lower than that mean your engine RPM will be lower at a given speed, while numbers higher than that will have higher engine RPM at the same speed. This ratio is a multiplier of engine torque, so the lower the number, the less torque multiplication you will see, which decreases acceleration. However, if you have a lot of power, this decrease will allow the lower gears to become more usable. If you are staying naturally aspirated we recommend staying with the 3.45 ratio or going to the 3.91 for even better acceleration. If you have over 400hp at the wheel now, the 3.27 is a good option along with the 3.45, once again if you have a question on what's best for you, please contact us.
After picking the differential option, next is to pick the colors for the multiple parts of the kit. Here you can go from mild to wild depending on what you want your ride to look like. The base subframe, which bolts to the Slingshot and carries the differential, is typically done a very nice stain black, that looks like it belongs on the Slingshot from Polaris. However if you want to stand out, choose any of the powdercoat options in the drop down menu, or give us a call if you want something custom, we can do that also. The control arms can also be done in your choice of standard colors, Slingshot colors or anything custom you would like. Lastly, the springs for the coilovers are typically silver stock, but we also offer stock Polaris colors or anything you can dream up. If you are not sure what colors would be best, just give us a call, we would be happy to help you design the entire setup to make it perfect for your ride.
After choosing your options, the production of the full kit will start and typically takes 6-8 weeks to complete. Once ready, your full 4 wheel conversion ships to you fully powder coated, assembled and ready to install and will include the following -
- Fully welded and powder coated tubular subframe
- 5th Generation Chevrolet Camaro differential
- CV joint axles
- Custom Driveshaft with adapter and ABS/traction control fittings
- Welded upper and lower control arms with polyurethane bushings
- Custom DDMWorks 3 way adjustable coilovers with custom spring rates
- CNC machined Billet aluminum uprights
- Custom wheel bearings machined to accept standard Polaris Slingshot wheel bolt pattern
- Brake Calipers with integrated parking brake, brake lines and hardware
- Full Hardware kit for mounting kit to Vehicle
Installation instructions are included with the kit and are in full color to help you along the way. If you get stuck and need help, our tech line is available most nights and weekends to help you through the installation with phone or text support. You will need another wheel and tire to install on your Slingshot to complete the kit. If you are using another stock Slingshot rear wheel/tire setup, just remember that you will need the tire flipped around for the correct rotation. If you are getting new wheels and tires, just have them mounted up like a regular car with one left and one right. During installation no special tools are needed, although some larger sockets are needed to remove the stock swingarm from the Slingshot.

Deposit and shipping information - Half of the total order is required as a deposit when ordering with the balance of the order due before shipping or installation at DDMWorks. Shipping cost is not included in the kit price, please email or contact us for shipping quotes.
Warranty information - We warrant the product to be free form defects in workmanship or material for a period of one year from date of shipping. We reserve the right to repair or replace any such deficiencies at our discretion. No other warranties or obligations are implied. This kit is built to order and such deposits on the kit are non-refundable.
Notes on Wheel fitment - The 4 wheel conversion kit uses rear hubs that will allow stock Slingshot wheels to be used, which have a 70mm bore. If you are having aftermarket wheels made for the 4 wheel conversion kit and are not sure what the bore size is on the wheels, please contact us as anything under 70mm will not mount onto the rear hubs. Please note that lug nut size will also change from M12x1.25 to M12 x 1.5.
