Instructions
DDMWorks Free Flowing, re-usable air filter with 4" inlet. This filter can be cleaned and re-oiled for up to 100,000 miles of use!
Note: If you purchased your DDMWorks intake in early 2020, this filter does fit your intake and is an upgrade from your current smaller filter.

Which oil and cleaner specifically is needed or recommended for this filter? Does it come with instructions for how much to re-apply?

A:
We recommend using the K&N Air Filter Cleaner Kit to properly clean this filter.
The kit is available on our website as well as through many general retailers.
Step-by-step instructions are included with the kit to guide you through the cleaning process.

We suggest using
K&N® Air Filter Cleaner
for cleaning this filter.
Please note: Instructions will come with the purchase of the cleaner.
STEP 1: APPLY CLEANER
Generously spray K&N® Air Filter Cleaner onto both sides of the filter. Let it soak for 10 minutes to loosen dirt.
Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the filter.
STEP 2: RINSE FILTER
Rinse the filter with cool, low-pressure water from the clean side out to flush away dirt. Continue rinsing until all traces of cleaner are removed.
Steps 1 and 2 may need to be repeated.
STEP 3: DRY FILTER
Gently shake off excess water and let the filter dry naturally.
Do not apply oil until the filter is completely dry.
STEP 4: OIL FILTER
Option 1:
Squeeze Oil (99-5050) Apply K&N® Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each pleat.
Option 2:
Aerosol Oil (99-5000) Spray K&N® Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each pleat, holding the nozzle about 3" (8 cm) away.
Final Step:
Absorb Oil Allow the oil to wick into the filter for about 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas until the entire filter has a uniform color.
