Here at DDMWorks we do a lot of clutch installs and until now there has only been one option for our customers, SPEC. So we talked to the manufacture of our 2.4L clutch to see if they could help us develop a new option for the 2.0L cars. The main criteria that we told them we were looking for is drivability, easy disengagement and a torque rating that would handle most of our customers builds.

What we came up with is our DDMWorks 2.0L Performance Clutch. The clutch is a unique design compared to other setups on the market with a flat flywheel and the pressure plate coming down to meet it, instead of the deep flywheel with a thin pressure plate found on the stock setup. Using this thin flywheel is the reason we were able to drop so much weight compared to the stock setup, and yet keep a slightly firmer pedal than stock. The setup uses a 6 puck sprung clutch disc, with a custom lightweight aluminum flywheel and heavy duty pressure plate. We also include a new clutch slave cylinder, new flywheel bolts and a new pilot bearing, basically everything you need in one box shipped to your door.

The clutch is rated at 500 ft/lbs of torque at the crank (approx 450 ft/lbs at the wheels), but offers a nice pedal pressure that will not beat you up commuting with it, or if you get stuck in traffic on that fun mountain drive.

These clutches do require special tools and knowledge to install and is not something most homeowners can install. Please consider professional installation on this clutch.
