The first kit on the market that allows you to upgrade the stock, single piston floating caliper you have now to a stronger, lighter, custom 4 piston billet set-up. When looking at the stock Solstice and Sky brake set-up, we found that the stock rotor size is a great size for most street driven cars. However, we knew there was some room for improvement in the system by upgrading the stock single piston caliper with a fixed 4 piston caliper set-up. We designed this kit with the concept of reducing the unsprung mass of the car and keeping the rotating mass as low as we could. By using the stock size rotors we do not overly bias the front brakes or increase the rotating mass often found with other brake kits. The big caliper upgrade comes with everything you need for the upgrade, 2 custom DDMworks big calipers in your choice of Black or Red, 2 Caliper mounting brackets, your choice of brake pads and necessary hardware for the installation. You can re-use your stock brake lines, or upgrade to stainless lines for an even firmer pedal feel.

Some key features of the DDMWorks Caliper: • Custom Machined DDMworks Billet Aluminum housings designed using the latest CAD software (Superior in strength to cast calipers). • Four Bolt, multi-ribbed housing. (Increases rigidity and reduces deflection for improved pedal feel). • Stainless steel pistons. (Retards heat transfer to brake fluid). • High temperature, square cut piston seals. (Controls piston retraction for zero drag). • Internal crossover brake fluid passage. (Eliminates potential crossover tube damage from debris). The benefit of Stainless Steel Pistons...Typically you see dust seals on street cars that have cast steel pistons in them. Since you do not want any moisture of containments to get into the piston and cause it to rust, the factory puts dust seals in the calipers. Now the first thing that most SCCA racers will do is remove the dust seals as they tend to melt when you really start pushing the brake system hard and producing lots of heat. However on the stock calipers and their cast pistons, if you are not doing any track time with the car they are a good idea.

Internal crossover brake fluid passage. (Eliminates potential crossover tube damage from debris).

  • Stock Caliper, bracket and pads weight = 14.5 lbs each
DDM Caliper, Bracket and pads weight = 6 lbs each
That saves 8.5 lbs per side in the front = HUGE

  • Due to the complexity of the E-Brake system, rear calipers are not available at this time.

  • Custom engraving, raw finish, etc., we can do it. Our goal is to offer products that make your car exactly what you want it to be. Custom engraving, finish, etc will add to the lead time and the cost, but anything is possible!
