Solstice GXP Race Exhaust by Solo Performance

The GXP-Race exhaust system was developed primarily for the Auto Cross and other racers out there. It’s a full 3” polished mandrel bent single exhaust system that exits only on the driver’s side. It’s a no frills, light weight, no muffler exhaust kit designed for the enthusiastic racer.

Solstice GXP Street Race Exhaust by Solo Performance
The GXP-Street race exhaust system is Solo’s noisiest GXP exhaust kit. This was developed for the enthusiasts that like a full bodied exhaust note. The STREET RACE has no muffler to reduce the noise, the turbo acts like a muffler as it “chops” up the exhaust and deadens the noise to an acceptable level. This is still a no drone exhaust kit however, your neighbors “will” hear you coming and going.

Solo designed and manufactured this dual in, dual out true X design 11” muffler just for this application. The regular 14” muffler just wouldn’t fit, the space constraints that are inherent in the GXP for rear center duals offered another interesting benefit. The sound is very unique, this kits sound falls right in between the Mach and our Street Race.

Solstice 2.4L Mach Exhaust with Resonator by Solo Performance
The 2.4 Mach with resonator exhaust kit was developed for those with the 2.4 Solstice that wanted the look of true dual exhaust. This is a no drone but full bodied exhaust note. This is one of our louder exhaust kits for the 2.4 Solstice, it’s the same as our GXP-Mach kit except we incorporated our Quantum resonator in the front pipe. This gives the 2.4 some needed backpressure and sound reduction. For the look and sound of true duals this is your kit!

• Includes all necessary hardware for installation.
• A rear valence change must be done to provide outlets for the left and right exhaust tips. The rear valence is not included in this kit as many people get the GXP valence from their dealer. You can order a painted valence from Norm’s Fiberglass www.normsfiberglass.com (574)255-7843. Prices range from $350.00 to $500.00 USD depending on valence type and paint colour.
• The “Mach w/ res” exhaust kit offers the looks of true duals for your 2.4 Kappa. It is louder than the SQR-2 or SINGLE. It’s recommended for those that like a full bodied louder but no droane, exhaust note.

2.4 Mach with Resonator Kit

Front Pipe:
• 3” mandrel bent polished stainless steel with our quantum resonator built in to sweeten the sound.
• Laser cut stainless steel flange.
• Extra hanger included for support.
• Heavy duty double braided flex pipe is used.
• A very precise hand made flair is on the front pipe to alleviate having to reduce the pipe to 2 ½”.

Mid Section:
• Dual 2 ½” pipes are used in this mid section.
• This does not restrict the flow as dual 2 ½” pipes flow more than a single 3”.

Rear Section:
• We decided to go with the more difficult design of a dual in dual out muffler.
• This muffler is a heavily packed with ceramic fiber and stainless steel wool, and a true X design muffler. Made from stainless steel.
• The tails flow into a beautifully crafted beveled 4” angle cut full bodied stainless steel exhaust tips manufactured by Solo Performance.

2.0L Ecotec High Flow Cat by Solo Performance
The free flow catalytic converter’s are tested and ready to go. As many of you know it’s been a long road to manufacturing this converter for the GXP that doesn’t trigger the engine light. After months of consulting with engineers, trial and error and countless frustration we are glad to announce that they are ready for sale. This is a full 3” stainless steel mandrel bent direct fit converter. We use a 5” long 200 cell stainless steel wound coil converter. These are a special internal design made especially for turbo’s and superchargers.

Solo Performance chose the substantially more expensive 5” converter (most manufacturers of this type of converter use a 3” to 3 ½ cat body) for a few reasons:
1. The more substance inside the better it cleans the exhaust gasses.
2. The 5” coil lasts longer than the 3” as there is more contact area for the gasses to hit.
3. The sound quality is much better. It’s a softer, less harsh, exhaust note with the 5”coil.
4. This particular manufacturer makes this unit to last. Each individual coil is tack welded.

• 15 HP increase, 8 extra foot pounds of torque increase.

2.4L Ecotec Center feed Fuel Rail for Solstice/Sky by DDMWorks
The DDMworks center feed fuel rail is designed for high horsepower Ecotec motors. The center feed on the rail provides more consistent fuel pressure across all of the injectors. This is important when pushing the stock motor to higher horsepower. This billet aluminum fuel rail is a direct replacement for the stock fuel rail, and with 2 removable end caps that can be used for fuel pressure gauges, or extra fuel for nitrous kits.
Solstice/Sky KW Variant 1 Coilovers
The Variant 1's use state-of-the-art technology to help deliver and excellent ride and performance handling for the skilled and experienced driver. The damping rate is set from the factory, so there is no worry that you might "mess up" the handling of the car. instead with the preset levels from the factory you can be sure that this is an install and forget kind of prodcut. Although the damping may not be adjustable, the spring perches are the same as the Variant 3's and offer adjustment for ride height and corner weighting of the car.Installation does not require any special tools and can be installed in 6-8 hours. An alignment is strongly suggested after installation of these coilovers.

Solstice/Sky Center Console with cup holders by DDMWorks
This full replacement piece center console that is a new piece, not a modified original. The new center console is made from several layers of fiberglass and features 2 cup holders and a raised area arm rest. This makes it more comfortable to rest your arm on the console while driving and gives you a place to set your drinks that is a little more convienant.We have tested this on several customers that have stopped by the shop and have found that it fits with all of the body types that have sat with it in the car.Is it going to drop your quarter mile times? probably not, but at least you can have a nice drink after you are done running.
Solstice/Sky Oil Catch Can by DDMWorks

We have encountered a problem with the boosted engines in the Solstice, Sky and Opel GT. Oil residue shows up in the intake tracts over time and this residue starts to work its way through the turbo, into the intake pipes and intercooler. As the oil coats the inside of the intercooler, performance starts to decrease. Also this residue can build up on the MAF sensor (2.4L) or the MAP sensor (2.0L). The factory did try to integrate a way to catch this oil in the 2.0L cars into the valve cover, but we still see the oil residue on even stock cars.

What we came up with to resolve this problem is a simple catch can made specifically for the cars, that bolts in using stock bolts. The box is packed internally with stainless steel mesh to help the oil collect, and with a huge capacity of almost 3/4 quart, you will not need to empty the can very often. The integrated sight glass on the catch can will let you know when it is getting full and the removalable drain plug allows simple draining.

Solstice/Sky, 2.0L, LNF Charge Tubes by DDMWorks
The intercooler charge tubes from the factory have areas where the tubing is crushed down flat which causes turbulence in the air flow. Our tubes are custom made from aluminum just like the factory tubes, but are CNC mandrel bent for the best fitment and nice smooth air flow. Our intercooler tubes are a direct factory replacement for the stock tubes with simple removal of the stock pieces and then installation of the new tubes.

All of our tubes come with the mounting brackets on them like stock, which helps to hold the tubes in the correct place, and prevents the movement of the tubes, which sometimes causes the tubes to hub under the hood. The tubes come standard in a highly polished finish, for great looks and long term durability.

Installation instructions are included along with a silicone hump hose connector to make the connection to the turbo and all other hardware required.

2.4L Performance Clutch by DDMWorks
When we started to push the supercharged cars we ran into the problem of the stock clutch slipping. The stock clutch holds well, but once you start seeing over 250 ft/lbs of torque it starts to reach its limit. We tested several different clutches and being unsatisfied, decided to sit down and design our very own from scratch. We worked with one of the leading race clutch makers right here in the states to design a clutch/flywheel setup that would hold up to the power, but not make annoying resonance like some of the other setups we tested. We were quite pleased with what we ended up with. The clutch is a unique design compared to other setups on the market with a flat flywheel and the pressure plate coming down to meet it, instead of the deep flywheel with a thin pressure plate found on the stock setup. Using this thin flywheel is the reason we were able to drop so much weight from the stock setup, and yet keep a slightly firmer pedal than stock. The combination is made up of a custom made DDMworks aluminum flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disc. This setup has a slightly firmer pedal than stock, but nowhere near as firm as the exedy or Spec clutch setups.These clutches do require special tools and knowledge to install and is not something most homeowners can install. Please consider professional installation on this clutch.

Solstice/Sky T-bolt Clamp, 2.0L by DDMWorks
On the car you will find that there is 6 worm drive hose clamps, these clamps have been known to leak at stock pressures, and at higher boost pressures can really be put to the test. We have put together a simple kit of the 6 hose clamps that you need to replace the worm drive clamps with the higher strength T-bolt clamps, giving you extra piece of mind when running higher boost.No special tools are required to swap the hose clamps and installation time varies with experience.
Solstice GXP and Sky Redline Race Intercooler Upgrade
Working with own of the leaders in cooling technology we have developed the DDMWorks LNF Kappa Intercooler. This massive intercooler uses extruded core technology to help make an inercooler that is very efficient at cooling the air and with 16 tubes gives a low pressure loss across the intercooler.The extruded core technology on this intercooler also help to allow more air to pass through the intercooler than similar size intercoolers of the bar and plate design. Using computed aided design and CFM modeling shows that normal bar and plate designs can lose up to 1/3 of the area of the distance between the plates to air turbulence. The air comes in and hits the flat front of the intercooler and has to roll through the intercooler, creating a loss of surface contact, and a loss of cooling. The extruded core technology on our intercooler has a rounded front which helps to manage the air smoothly through the intercooler, allowing more cooling air to pass through the intercooler at similar pressures. The more cooling air that passes through the intercooler, the more heat that can be taken away from the intake charge, which makes the intercooler more efficient.Also unique to our intercooler is a proprietary fin design on the small folded fins found between the main tubes. This design creates small fins on the fins, creating more area for the incoming cool air to contact and take away heat. These fins are uniquely soldered to the main tubes with a high silver content solder to further aid in the heat transfer between the extruded tubes and the fins.All of this adds up to a great intercooler upgrade able to take the demands of all but the most extreme 750hp+ builds.installation can be done by most owners, as no special tools are required to change the intercooler. Some minor trimming is required for fitment, the DDMworks Intercooler bolts into stock location, using stock brackets.

The DDMWorks Coil Cover will fit both the 2.4 (LE5) and the turbo 2.0 (LNF) motors. This gives you a very attractive and functional piece to add once you remove the plastic engine cover. Whether you have removed your cover for our S/C kit or just to show off your engine a little better, the DDMWorks Coil Cover comes with Stainless steel hardware to attach directly to the Cam/Valve cover.This piece hides the valley between the intake and exhaust cams where the spark plugs and ignition coils set. It will cover up most of the unsightly wires and gives your engine top a very smooth look. Also, by removing the plastic factory engine cover with all the foam insulation, you'll let your engine heat escape better from the top of the head, by allowing airflow over the Cam/Valve cover.The DDMWorks Coil Cover comes standard with a Stainless Steel finish and Stainless Steel hardware,but can be upgraded to one of our in-house powdercoat colors for an additional fee.

- Coilovers use 46mm pistons and 53mm shock housings, the enlarged shock cartridges with specially designed pistons and rods provide a wide range of damping force.
